Research Methods

Think about knitting a garment by your hands with various colors and techniques what you do you follow some patterns more consciously  following  a   method ,  just like that  in research  we follow some patterns or tools  so that we can make a smart research (specific, measurable ,attainable, reliable, time bound) 

 we can define  research  methods as  tool for doing research in a systematic way, for example if you want to know how people grouped together , how there kinship ties works , or the beliefs they have about religion and supernatural powers this comes under ethnographic research and people like Mallinowaski are preachers of this methods,  

similarly if you want how one group is different from other or similar with other  than you are comparing these groups and finding  how there kinship, religious belief are different or similar to each other in short comparing  this method is called ethnology (note : logy stands for science and ethno means people) and A.R Redcliff brown is a pioneer of this methodology.

Different methods includes in social science are :surveys, discourse analysis, focus groups, learning analytics, interviews, ethnographic approaches, Social Network Analysis, and visual methods
